Judges Name Finalists in “Prettiest Painted Places” Competition

After an exhaustive four-month search, 60 beautifully painted cities, towns, and neighborhoods have been named as finalists in the Prettiest Painted Places in America competition. There are ten finalists from six different geographic regions; later this month, two finalists from each region will be named as the 12 Prettiest Painted Places in America.

The Paint Quality Institute and judges would like to thank the chambers of commerce, Main Street programs, Downtown Development groups, historical societies, and residents who nominated nearly 200 places that participated in the 2012 competition. The task of choosing one beautiful place over another was – in a great many cases — extremely difficult. In fact, the vast majority of entries were exceptional, and every nominee should be proud of the place that he or she entered in the competition.

We wish the best of luck to everyone, and especially to the 60 places that are the outstanding finalists in our competition. The complete list of finalists is shown below.
