If you’re a do-it-yourself painter (or would-be DIYer) who enjoys reading our blog, then you might like to know about the Paint Quality Institute’s latest undertaking: a just-released Kindle book with nearly a hundred of our most helpful articles on painting, color and design.
Published just in time for the spring home improvement season, Do-It-Yourselfer’s Guide to Successful & Satisfying Home Painting contains the best of what appears on our blog, plus other select information – all intended to take the mystery out of painting and help “amateur” painters get professional-looking results.
Covering both interior and exterior painting, the book provides step-by-step instruction on painting every conceivable surface: interior walls, trim, ceilings, floors, stairs, even kitchen cabinets – as well as exterior materials ranging from wood siding and decks, to aluminum siding, vinyl siding, brick, stucco, and more.
But our book isn’t focused just on the mechanics of painting; it’s also packed with tips and ideas on color, style, and fun ways to design and decorate with paint. Take the content on color, for example. It runs the gamut: tips on creating beautiful color schemes, information on color psychology, and insights about every hue.
We’ve also included advice having to do with more “artsy” projects: Things like stenciling, paint-stamping, freehand striping, furniture distressing, “rug” painting, and the use of dappled wall color.
In creating the book, we’ve made sure to include projects and information that will appeal to do-it-yourselfers at every level – from first-time painters to those with plenty of experience. (Even professional painters may benefit from some of the content.)
If you’re looking for some fresh ideas on interior decorating, need professional advice about maintaining the exterior of your home, or just want to learn about the many fun projects you can undertake with paint, you’ll find what you are looking for in PQI’s new Do-It-Yourselfer’s Guide to Successful & Satisfying Home Painting.
Our book is available only in Kindle format on amazon.com. If you do purchase a copy, please take a few moments to review it after you’ve read some or all of the contents. As with everything we do, we’d very much appreciate your feedback.
